Many rural crafts are demonstrated and there is something for all the family to enjoy
Come along and enjoy watching country crafts, listening to country musicians and soaking up the ambience of a vanished way of life at this unique event.
Steam powered rides on the light railway
Refreshments available including lunches and teas
Farmers' market selling local produce and goods
Free parking - Picnic areas
Crafts this year include: Pencil, paper, bread, walking stick, rope and rag rug makers, bee keepers, sheep shearer, chainsaw wood carver and blacksmith. Pole lathe and traditional wood-turners, spinning and weaving, knitting, barge painting and glass blowing.
There will also be our reconstructed iron furnace in action, dog agility, morris dancing, horse-drawn rides and a jazz band. An exhibition of British reptiles, cream teas and many more exhibits besides.
This year we celebrate 150 years since the birth of rural chronicler George Sturt with a smock parade and exhibition.
